Cyprus House President pays tribute to Holocaust victims and survivors at Auschwitz-Birkenau
The President of the Cyprus House of Representatives, Demetris Syllouris, signed on Tuesday morning the visitors’ book at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, in Poland. While in Poland, Syllouris recalled the heinous crimes committed by the Nazis against some 11 million victims and people who survived the Holocaust, before and during World War II, a relevant announcement says.
The President of the House represented on Monday the President of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, at a ceremony commemorating the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the German concentration and extermination camp at Auschwitz-Birkenau.
