Foreign Minister on official visit to Beirut

Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides travels to Beirut on Friday on an official visit. He is the first foreign official to visit Lebanon after the new government of Lebanon assumed duties.
 
A press release by the Foreign Ministry says that Christodoulides will hold a tete-a-tete meeting with his counterpart Nassif Hitti, followed by consultations. The Ministers will then make statements to the press.

Christodoulides and Hitti will discuss bilateral ties and how to further enhance them, the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East, Turkey’s provocations in Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone, EU-Lebanon relations and regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The Foreign Minister will also be received by the new Prime Minister Hassan Diab and will meet with Energy Minister Raymond Ghajar.
