Cyprus Meteorology Department issues orange warning for low temperatures
Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued an orange warning for extremely low temperature.
The warning was issued 1600 hrs on Sunday and it is valid from 2300 hrs until 0800 hrs Monday morning.
The minimum temperature is expected to fall to around minus 10 degrees celsius over the highest Troodos peaks.
The public is warned that extreme low temperature might lead to health risks amongst the vulnerable e.g. the elderly, very young children and the homeless. Citizens are urged to act upon advice from the authorities.
