Eighty-seven irregular immigrants arrive by boat in Cyprus
A total of 87 irregular immigants hailing from Syria, among which 10 women and 16 children, were on board a wooden boat which was found this morning off shore Cavo Greco, in Famagusta District.
According to the police the wooden boat which had a length of 13 metres was located around 0830 hours local time (0630 GMT) by the port police floating about 20 nautical miles north east of Cavo Greco.
Port police escorted the boat safely to Larnaka port.
