Bicommunal Committee coordinates over Turkish Cypriot quarantined university students

 
Greek Cypriot co-chair of the bicommunal Technical Committee on Health, Leonidas Phylaktou, has told the Cyprus News Agency (CNA) that he is in contact with the Turkish Cypriot co-chair of the Committee, following statements by the Turkish Cypriot side that Turkish Cypriots university students are among the passengers who arrived last night at Larnaca airport from the UK and have been quarantined for 14 days in areas designated by the state, in the framework of protective measures taken against the coronavirus spread.
 
“I am in contact with my Turkish Cypriot counterpart at the bicommunal Committee and I asked him to give us the names of these persons,” Phylaktou added.
 
Furthermore, he noted that through him the Health Ministry of the Republic has informed the Turkish Cypriot side that these persons have the choice to be transferred to the Turkish
