Cyprus President and members of Presidential Palace staff undertake COVID-19 tests

Cyprus President, Nicos Anastasiades, and members of the staff of Presidential Palace, who come in contact with him, are undertaking cononavirus tests.
 
Government Spokesman, Kyriakos Koushos has told the Cyprus News Agency (CNA) samples were taken this morning from the President and the other members of the staff with whom he comes in contact so that the tests will be conducted by the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics, as a precautionary measure.
 
“There is no suspected case, however the Presidency of the Republic decided to have these tests as a precautionary measure to protect the President and the other members of the staff,” Koushos, who is among the individuals from whom samples have been taken, said.
