Job vacancies up by 37.1% in Q4 in Cyprus
Job vacancies in Cyprus increased by 37.1% on an annual basis in the fourth quarter of 2019, data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service, on Monday, show.
In particular, the number of job vacancies in the 4th quarter of 2019 reached 4,646, the Statistical Service says in a press release.
The number of job vacancies increased by 1,256 or 37.1% compared to the same quarter of the previous year when the number of job vacancies was recorded at 3,390.
Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2019 the number of job vacancies fell by 2,484 or 34.8%.
The job vacancy rate in the 4th quarter of 2019 was 1.3%, while the job vacancy rate in the previous quarter and the 4th quarter of 2018 was 2.0% and 1.0% respectively.
