UNFICYP urges protestors to refrain from actions undermining public order
Unauthorized activities in the buffer zone are strictly prohibited, says UNFICYP, the UN peacekeeping force in Cyprus, while urging protestors to refrain from any actions that undermine public order.
Ahead of a protest at Ledra Street, on Monday, UNFICYP Spokesperson, Aleem Siddique said that the safety of civilians is the most important priority for the peacekeeping force.
“While UNFICYP supports the right to demonstrate peacefully, unauthorized activities in the buffer zone are strictly prohibited” Siddique says.
