Cyprus police report 84 pedestrians and drivers for restrictive measures violations

Cyprus police reported 84 pedestrians and drivers for violating restrictive measures in place to contain the COVID-19 outbreak out of 5,127 spot-checks from Wednesday evening until early in the morning on Thursday across the island.

No violations were reported out of 907 spot-checks in various premises, the police press office has told CNA.

Breaking down the spot-checks on pedestrians and vehicle drivers, in Nicosia out of 1,436 spot-checks 21 violations were reported, in Limassol out of 1,353 spot-checks 33 violations were reported, in Larnaca out of 530 spot-checks 10 violations were reported, in Pafos out of 183 spot-checks 8 violations were reported, in Famagusta out of 1,241 spot-checks 8 violations were reported and in Morphou out of 191 spot-checks one violation was reported.
