Israel concerned about Turkey’s intention to drill in Cyprus’ EEZ, Ambassador Revel tells CNA
Israel expresses grave concern about Turkey’s intention to drill in Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone (EEZ), says the country’s Ambassador to Cyprus, Sammy Revel, and reiterates full solidarity with Nicosia.
Invited to comment on the presence of Turkish drill ship “Yavuz” in the EEZ of Cyprus, Revel told CNA that “pursuant to Turkey’s recent announced intention to continue drilling inside Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone (EEZ), Israel follows the situation with grave concern.”
“Israel reiterates its full solidarity with Cyprus, in exercising its rights in its maritime zones, and its opposition to any attempt to violate these rights” the Ambassador concluded.
