Cypriot FM proposes targetted EU approach in relations with southern neighbourhood countries
Cyprus` Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Christodoulides has proposed that the EU should have a strategic and targeted approach in its relations with southern neighbouring countries, noting that the goal should continue to be to safeguard security and stability conditions in the region`s countries.
He was speaking during a teleconference which took place following an initiative of Spanish FM Arancha Gonzalez in order to exchange views on deepening and enhancing EU relations with southern neighbourhood countries, ahead of a relevant discussion which will take place in the coming EU Foreign Affairs Council, a Foreign Affairs Ministry press release says.
