Cyprus Meteorology Department issues orange warning for temperatures over 42.5C

Cyprus Department of Meteorology issued on Sunday an orange warning for temperatures over 42.5 degrees Celsius.

The warning was issued at 1245 locat time and is valid until 1700. The maximum temperature is expected to exceed 42.5 Degrees Celsius in many areas of the island.

Citizens are advised to be prepared as high temperatures will lead to health risks amongst vulnerable people e.g. the elderly and very young. They are urged to listen to and act upon advice from the authorities.
