Cyprus police reports 50 pedestrians and drivers for restrictive measures violations

Cyprus police have reported 50 pedestrians and drivers between 1800 hours on Monday and 0600 hours on Tuesday local time out of a total of 3,852 spot checks across the island, for violations of restrictive measures in place to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
As the police press office has told CNA, in Nicosia, out of 1,376 spot checks 20 violations were reported, in Limassol out of 766 spot checks 14 violations were reported, in Larnaka out of 512 spot checks 5 violations were reported, in Pafos out of 687 spot checks 8 violations were reported, in Famagusta out of 173 spot checks 3 violations were reported and in Morphou no violations were reported out of 146 spot checks.
 
 At the same time no violations were reported, out of 156 spot checks by the traffic police and 36 spot checks by the emergency response unit.
