Cyprus ready to receive tourists on June 15, parliamentary committee Chairman tells CNA

Chairman of the parliamentary committee on energy, trade, industry and tourism, Andreas Kyprianou has told CNA following a teleconference the committee had with Tourism Deputy Minister Savvas Perdios, on Tuesday, that the ministry is ready for Cyprus to open to tourism on June 15.

In his statements, Kyprianou said the Deputy Ministry’s goal is to regain 30% Cyprus had in 2019 in arrivals and revenue from tourism.

He also announced that the parliamentary committee would be sending a letter to the union of municipalities and local communities and Interior Minister Nicos Nouris, seeking to extend the outdoors use of public spaces by restaurants where that is possible.
