Pandemic has shown need for further cooperation between countries, Anastasiades and Sisi agree

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi agreed during a telephone conversation they had on Friday that the pandemic has shown the need for further close cooperation and coordination between states to deal with asymmetric threats against societies, insititutions and economies, Deputy Government Spokesperson Panayiotis Sentonas has said.

In a written statement, Sentonas notes that "during their telepone conversation the two Presidents discussed the situation in both countries concerning the coronavirus pandemic, stressing that the pandemic has proven the need for further close cooperation and coordination between states to deal with asymmetric threats against countries` societies, insititutions and economies."
