Police have booked 107 drivers and pedestrians for violations of the restrictions imposed to contain COVID-19.
The violations were detected from 3.524 spot checks between 1800 until 0600 Sunday.
A police spokesman told CNA that in Nicosia there were 1.245 checks and 28 violations, in Limassol 611 checks and 39 violations and in Larnaca 478 checks and seven violations. In Paphos, from 430 checks there were ten violations, in Famsgusta 302 produced 17 bookings and in Morphou 139 checks resulted with only three violations.
Out of 144 spot-checks the traffic police reported 1 violation, while the emergency response unit made two reports out of the 175 checks it conducted.
A total of 408 spot checks at premises resulted with a single violation at Paphos district at a supermarket where two employees were found without personal prote
