Borrell - Angelidis set to discuss developments in E. Mediterranean and Cyprus' role in EU operations
EU High Representative and Vice President of the European Commission Josep Borrell who is paying Cyprus a visit this week and Cyprus Defence Minister Savvas Angelidis are set to discuss on Friday, during a meeting, the EU Common Security and Defence Policy and developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, with a particular emphasis on Turkey`s ongoing provocations and destabilizing actions, as well as Cyprus’ role in the EU’s operations and missions.
"During his visit, the High Representative will meet with Defence Minister Savvas Angelidis in the morning of 26 June, to discuss aspects of the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy and developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, with particular emphasis on Turkey’s ongoing provocations and destabilizing actions, as well as Cyprus’ role in the EU’s operations and missions," a press release says.
