Cyprus government strongly condemns Limassol mosque vandalism, Spokesperson says
Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades has asked for an in depth investigation into an incident of vandalism at the Köprülü mosque, in Limassol, Government Spokesperson Kyriacos Koushos has said, strongly condemning the incident on behalf of the government.
In a written statement, Koushos says that the government of Cyprus "condemns in the strongest possible terms the vandalism which took place at Köprülü mosque, in Limassol."
"Such actions that are directed against places of worship are unacceptable regardless of where they come from," he adds.
