Cyprus is a firm ally of China at the international political arena, Chinese Ambassador says

Cyprus is a firm ally of the Republic of China at the international political arena in relation to many significant issues, said the Chinese Ambassador in Nicosia, Huang Xingyuan.

He made the remark after a meeting on Wednesday with President of the House of Representatives, Demetris Syllouris, who reconfirmed the excellent relations of friendship and mutual support, based on common principles, between the two countries.

He thanked the Chinese government for supporting Cyprus in combatting the repercussions of COVID-19 and underlined the significance of the assistance provided by China in the form of medical supplies, an indication of the close cooperation between the two countries.
