Cyprus President agrees with Israeli Premier to postpone visit to Israel on June 23 due to pandemic

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have agreed during a telephone conversation on Thursday to postpone Anstasiades` visit to Israel on June 23 due to the coronavirus pandemic and to reschedule it as soon as conditions allow, Government Spokesperson Kyriacos Koushos has said.

In a written statement issued by the presidency, Koushos says that during their telephone conversation it was agreed that in view of developments regarding the coronavirus pandemic it would be appropriate to postpone President Anastasiades` visit to Israel, which was scheduled for June 23, 2020.

It was further agreed that as soon as conditions allow for it a new date will be set for President Anastasiades` visit to Israel, he notes.
