Cyprus President to take decisions on crossing points issue within the coming days, Spokesman tells CNA
The illegal puppet regime in Cyprus’ Turkish occupied areas raises obstacles handling the issue of the re-opening of the crossing points as a political one, as part of the process during which Turkish Cypriot will choose their leader, Government Spokesman Kyriacos Koushos has told the Cyprus News Agency (CNA), noting relevant statements made by the so-called prime minister of the puppet regime Ersin Tatar and the so-called foreign minister Kudret Ozersay.
Koushos said that Cyprus President, Nicos Anastasiades, is seriously concerned with the situation and will take his decisions about the way he will act on this issue within the coming days. Asked if Anastasiades will hold a new discussion with the Turkish Cypriot leader, Mustafa Akinci, about the issue of re-opening of crossing points, Koushos said that he did not rule out such a possibility if this is required.
