No tourist arrivals in Cyprus for second consecutive month, due Covid-19 restrictions

For the second consecutive month, Cyprus registered no inflow of tourists in May due to an entry ban in the Republic as part of measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus outbreak.

“Among the measures taken (by the government), an entry ban in the Republic of Cyprus was imposed on several categories of persons, including tourists, as of 15/3/2020. As a result, during May 2020, there were no arrivals of tourists and hence no revenue from tourism,” the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat) said in a press release.
