Up to the Attorney General to serve his term until July 31, Government Spokesman says

It is up to the Attorney General, Costas Clerides, to decide whether he wants to serve until July 31, during his pre-retirement leave, Government Spokesman Kyriacos Koushos said on Wednesday. He noted however that the reason Clerides invoked to continue serving during this time, citing the absence of an Assistant Attorney General, is no longer valid, but as Koushos said “his decision will be respected.”

Ministers of Justice and Defence were appointed on Tuesday as Attorney General and Assistant Attorney General, respectively.
