Cyprus National Guard Chief criticizes Turkey for directing immigrants to the EU borders

The migration flows and their impact on security and stability were discussed during an EU Military Committee meeting held on Thursday in Brussels at the level of Chiefs of Defence (CHOD), with Cyprus National Guard Chief, Lieutenant General Demokritos Zervakis, criticizing Turkey that it uses immigrants, directing them to the EU borders.

The issue of migration flows was discussed during the meeting, at the request of Greece and Cyprus, a press release issued by the Cypriot Ministry of Defence, writes.

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell addressed the meeting, attended by Lieutenant General Zervakis.
