Nicosia and Athens coordinate actions on missing persons’ issue

Presidential Commissioner Photis Photiou said that soon the authorities in Nicosia and Athens that deal with the issue of missing persons will take initiatives and will coordinate their actions at the level of the EU, the UN, the Council of Europe and the US, adding that the role of the diaspora will be decisive.

Photiou met on Monday with a delegation of the Committee of Relatives of Missing Persons in Greece. The four-member delegation is in Cyprus on the occasion of the anniversary of the 1974 Turkish invasion.
