Chevron and Noble Energy reaffirm willingness to proceed with the development of Aphrodite natural gas field
Chevron and Noble Energy reaffirmed on Monday the importance that they attribute to the development of Aphrodite natural gas field, which is located in exploratory Block 12 of the Cypriot Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), in the framework of their strategic energy plans in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Cyprus Government Spokesman Kyriakos Koushos said in a written statement that Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades had in the afternoon a teleconference with Michael Wirth, the CEO of Chevron, that acquired through the acquisition of Noble Energy - expected to be fulfilled in October its - share in Aphrodite gas field. Noble Energy CEO David Stover and officials of the two companies also attended the teleconference.
