Cyprus committed to ascertain the fate of the missing despite Turkey's intransigence, Photiou says

Despite difficulties and the intransigence shown by Turkey, Cyprus is working so that the relatives of the missing persons will receive information on the fate of their loved ones, Presidential Commissioner Photis Photiou has said.
 
Addressing a service held in the church of Ayios Nicolaos, on Saturday, Photiou pointed out that “810 Greek Cypriots and Greeks, which constitute more than 50% of the cases submitted to the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus (CMP), are still missing with the situation unfortunately being difficult but also marginal". He added that “2020 so far, goes down as the lowest year in terms of exhumations and identifications of remains of missing persons.
