Cyprus mission returns home from Lebanon

A Cyprus team comprising members of the Disaster Response Special Unit and the Emergency Response Unit that had gone to Lebanon on Wednesday afternoon to contribute to the search and rescue efforts after the vast blast in Beirut returned on Monday home.

Cyprus Police Deputy Spokesperson Stelios Stylianou told CNA that the mission was set to arrive on two helicopters, one of the Police and one of the National Guard at around 1425 local time, at Larnaca airport. Its members were tested for COVID-19 and will remain in self-isolation for 14 days.
