'Evnomia' exercise wraps up successfully on Friday
Military naval and aerial exercise name – coded “Evnomia” which took place with the participation of forces from France, Italy, Greece and Cyprus has completed successfully at the maritime area south of Cyprus, the Defence Ministry of Cyprus announced on Friday.
The activity among these four countries was carried out from August 26 to 28, in the framework of the joint decision of the countries to strengthen their common naval and aerial presence in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
The final phase of the exercise, which took place in the sea area south of Evangelos Florakis Naval Base situated on the island`s southern coast in Mari village Larnaca, was attended by the Commander of the National Guard accompanied by the Commander of ELDYK and the Defence attaches of France and Italy.
