Road freight transport in Cyprus down by 12.8% in January-March 2020

Total weight of goods transported by road in Cyprus in January-March 2020 decreased by 12.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2019, according to data released Wednesday by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.

During the same period the weight of freight transported from and to Cyprus also decreased by 6.7%.

It is noted that during March 2020, COVID-19 containment measures were firstly introduced in Cyprus.
