Technical Committees to be asked to resume activity at February’s levels
Greek Cypriot Heads and members of the bicommunal Technical Committees will attend on September 1, 2020, an annual coordination meeting, at the Presidential Palace, in Nicosia, and will be asked to resume their activity at the levels recorded last February.
A competent source speaking to CNA said that the meeting will be chaired by Greek Cypriot negotiator, Andreas Mavroyiannis, in a bid to promote horizontal coordination, while participants will exchange views about their work and discuss their experience with projects that made use of the “Support to the Bi-Communal Technical Committees Facility.”
The same source explained that the reference to last February is made because this is the level of activity recorded in the resolution before the previous one, that renewed the mandate of the UN peacekeeping force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), before the outbreak of the
