US Under Secretary of State's visit to Cyprus very important, Government Spokesman says
Cyprus Government Spokesman Kyriacos Koushos has said that the visit of US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale to Cyprus on Sunday, where he met with Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Christodoulides, was very important.
In statements to the media, Koushos noted that Christodoulides and Hale discussed about developments in the region and that Hale`s statements were clear about the right of the Republic of Cyprus to exploit hydrocarbons in its EEZ.
Moreover he noted that there has been a clear statement by the US embassy in Nicosia, expressing support to the rights of the Republic of Cyprus.
