Committee of Ministers issues interim resolution relating to property rights of enclaved Greek Cypriots

The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe has issued an Interim Resolution on the execution of the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in the Cyprus against Turkey case regarding the property rights of the enclaved Greek Cypriots.

According to a press relase by the CoE, the Committee of Ministers decided "to close the examination of the issue relating to the property rights of Greek Cypriots residing in the northern part of Cyprus and their heirs".

It says that the Committee of Ministers, under the terms of Article 46, paragraph 2, of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, which provides that the Committee supervises the execution of final judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, having regard to the judgments transmitted by the Court to the Committee in this case and to the fourteen violation
