Cyprus describes Turkish navtex for live gunnery exercises off Cyprus as illegal
Cyprus issued a Navigational Telex (Navtex) describing a Navtex issued earlier Friday by Antalya Navtex Station as illegal.
The Turkish Navtex bounds areas west of Turkish-occupied Kyrenia up to the Gulf of Morphou for gunnery exercises, beginning tomorrow, until September 14.
A Navtex issued by Cyprus JRCC describes the Turkish Navtex as illegal and says that it “violates the Republic of Cyprus’ sovereignty and sovereign rights.
