Cyprus Shipping Chamber holds webinar to mark World Maritime Day
The Cyprus Shipping Chamber held a members’ webinar on Wednesday, on the occasion of World Maritime Day, titled "The Atomic Battery - a zero-emission energy revolution for maritime transport", which presented the prospect of alternative "green" fuels for smaller ships and the supply of larger ships.
In a press release, the CSC notes that World Maritime Day aims to turn global attention on the important role of the shipping industry, which carries about 90% of world trade, and its vital contribution to the economy and society in general.
