UK in full support of Varosha resolutions and Cyprus settlement, says UK Foreign Minister for the European Neighbourhood
The UK fully supports all relevant Security Councils resolutions relating to the issue of Varosha, the Foreign Minister for the European Neighbourhood Wendy Morton has reiterated in a response letter to Sir Roger Gale.
The long-serving Conservative MP and head of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Cyprus had raised the plan to open the fenced-off town of Famagusta to people other that its lawful inhabitants in a letter to the Foreign Office.
Mrs Morton states that the UK supports the resolutions, including Resolutions 550 and 789.
