Cyprus President briefs Greek counterpart on Turkish illegal actions in Varosha

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou who sought to be briefed over Turkish illegal actions in the fenced-off city of Varosha, Government Spokesman Kyriacos Koushos said in written statement.
 
Sakellaropolou expressed its solidarity to the city’s legitimate inhabitants as well as the Cypriot people as a whole, as well as her support to President Anastasiades’ and the government’s efforts to end the new violation of the international law.
 
“During their conversation the President has thoroughly briefed the Greek President over the developments in Varosha as well as the government’s diplomatic actions aiming to end this violation on behalf of Turkey,” the Spokesman said.
