GS:President refers to pandemic situation in Cyprus, attacks in France and Turkish provocations during EU Council
The COVID-19 pandemic and the management in Cyprus, the attacks in France and the Turkish provocations were brought up by President Nicos Anastasiades, during a videoconference of the European Council Thursday.
The EU leaders assessed the COVID-19 situation in the member states, in the light of the announcements of partial or total lockdowns in some countries and focused on coordinating the response to the pandemic.
A written statement by Government Spokesman Kyriakos Koushos says that the leaders exchanged views on COVID-19 tests and mutual recognition of lab results and cross-border contacts, discussed the good practices and a common approach between member states on the issue of the vaccines.
