Cyprus Police report 42 citizens and 4 premises' owners for violations of COVID-19 measures
Cyprus Police reported 42 citizens and 4 premises` owners in checks for violations of COVID-19 measures.
A press officer from the Police Press Office told CNA that a total of 1,662 checks were conducted the last 24 hours island-wide.
In Nicosia the Police conducted 251 checks and 12 citizens and 1 premise owner were reported. A fine of 1.500 euro was issued for the premise, a a restaurant, because it accomodated a bigger number of people than allowed.
In Limassol the checks were 177 and the Police reported 9 citizens while in Larnaka the checks were 293. The police reported 9 citizens and one premise owner.
In Paphos the Police made 246 checks and 5 citizens and 1 premise owner were reported. The owner was reported because the premise remained open after 10.30pm, against the decree.
