Determination to fight corruption must be embedded in the minds of the citizens, President says
President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades presided on Friday over a broad meeting on transparency and combatting corruption.
The meeting was attended by the President of the House of Representatives, the Attorney General, the Deputy Attorney General, the Minister of Justice, the Auditor General, the President of the Pancyprian Lawyer`s Association, the Internal Auditor, and the head of the Unit for Combating Money Laundering.
Government Spokesman Kyriacos Koushos said after the meeting that the President "initially expressed his determination and political will to protect, to the highest degree possible, our country from phenomena of corruption" and asked all to contribute towards this goal.
