European Commission Forecast in line with government estimates, Finance Ministry says
The European Commission’s Autumn Economic Forecast is, to a great extent, in line with government estimates, and reaffirms that government measures to support employees and businesses are in the right track, says the Ministry of Finance.
The European Commission also reaffirms the fact that the crisis is not over yet and that the path to recovery will be difficult and uncertain, as is the course of the pandemic and the effort for a vaccine, the Ministry notes.
The Commission’s Autumn Economic Forecast reveals the severe impact of the pandemic on the European economy, by revising the economic forecast for 2020 and 2021 downwards, the Finance Ministry says.
