Nothing new so far on behalf of the UN as regards a possible Summit on Cyprus, President says

There is nothing new so far as regards the possibility of UN Secretary General launching an informal five-party plus UN summit on Cyprus, President Nicos Anastasiades has said.

The President was asked Thursday evening by the Press whether there is anyhing new on behalf of the UN, following the meeting he had last Tuesday with the new Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar and the determination they expressed, in a joint statement, to positively respond to the Secretary-General’s commitment to explore the possibility to convene an informal five-plus-United Nations meeting, in a conducive climate, at an appropriate stage.

"Not yet, nothing at the moment," he said, on the sidelines of a photo exhibition on the 60 years of the Republic of Cyprus at the Filoxenia Conference Center.
