President appeals to people to comply with additional measures to stop spread of coronavirus
The Government, assuming its responsibilities, is obliged to take additional measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus, President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades has said.
In a televised address on Wednesday evening, the President expressed hope that all citizens would respond in order to avoid, as he noted, the strictest restrictions that one European country after another is imposing.
He added that at the same time, as a result of sound financial management, the government will address the financial implications and risks caused by the pandemic to affected companies and employees.
