President says new measures to contain COVID-19 to be decided in the next 48 hours
President Nicos Anastasiades said tonight that decisions on new measures to contain COVID-19 spread following the hike in cases will be decided in the next 48 hours, adding that our health system is in an extremely good shape, however we need to prevent phenomena that occurred in other countries.
Speaking to the press before an event at THOK and following a meeting he had with the Epidemilogical Unit , in the presence of the Ministers of Health and Labor, the President said that the decisions will be taken as we continue to closely monitor the epidemiological situation in Cyprus.
Asked if the decisions concern a partial lockdown in some districts, the President of the Republic said that decisions will be announced at the right time.
