Republic of Cyprus donates 175,000 euros to CMP

The Republic of Cyprus has announced a donation of 175,000 euros to the Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus (CMP) for 2020, with a view to support the Committee’s efforts to solve the humanitarian aspect of  the tragedy of missing persons and their families.
 
A press release issued by the Office of Presidential Commissioner, Photis Photiou, said that since the beginning of the CMP exhumations project, direct donations of the Republic of Cyprus amount to more than 3 million euros and constitute the highest amount of EU donations. This amount does not involve other measures supporting the project which are directly funded by the Republic of Cyprus.
