Cyprus President to take part in European Council and have meetings with EU leaders

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades travels to Brussels on Wednesday, where he will take part in a special European Council to be held on February 20 and will have bilateral meetings with the new Presidents of EU institutions. 

The Council will discuss issues relating to the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027, a presidency press release says.

Referring to his meetings with the new Presidents of EU Institutions, it notes that they will be "the first official and private meetings between the President and the heads of the EU institutions.
