France supports Cyprus against Turkish provocations, French Armed Forces Minister assures Cypriot Defence Minister

French Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly expressed on Tuesday, during a meeting in Nicosia with Cypriot Minister of Defence Savvas Angelides, the full support of France towards the Republic of Cyprus with regard to the illegal provocations of Turkey within Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone.
 
Angelides informed Parly on the continuous illegal provocations of Turkey within Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone, its behaviour in the Eastern Mediterranean, the consequences of this behaviour in relation to migration flows, and in general security in the Eastern Mediterranean, and the French Minister assured that her country would contribute decisively towards maintaining the International Law of the Sea in the Eastern Mediterranean.
