Cyprus President calls on EU to be more decisive over Turkey’s illegal actions

President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades informed on Friday the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice President Josep Borrell, over recent developments involving Ankara’s illegal activities in the maritime zones of Cyprus, and reiterated that the EU needs to be more decisive on this issue.
 
An announcement by the Presidency of the Republic says that Government Spokesman, Kyriacos Koushos, issued a written statement, saying that President Anastasiades attended on Friday a videoconference with Michel and Borrell, that lasted over an hour. The videoconference was also attended by Foreign Minister Nikos Christodouides.
