Police carry out 479 checks on premises, 7 persons booked for violating Covid-19 decrees
Police have carried out 479 checks on premises and booked 7 persons across Cyprus for violating the measures in place in various premises and restaurants in an effort to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country.
A Police Spokesperson told CNA, in Paphos there were three bookings concerning a tavern without the necessary markings, a bar with more than 150 people outdoors and another bar where an employee was not wearing a protective mask and gloves.
In Famagusta, during a check in a coffee shop, both the owner and employee were booked for not wearing a protective mask.
