President to hold telephone conversation with Ursula von der Leyen
President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades will hold on Sunday, late in the afternoon, a telephone conversation with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in the context of his contacts with heads of European institutions.
According to a written statement issued today by the Government Spokesman Kyriakos Koushos, issues related to the efforts to deal with the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic are expected to be raised during their telephone conversation, while the President of the Republic will also refer to the situation in Cyprus in dealing successfully with the pandemic.
President will also raise the issues arising in connection with Turkey`s ongoing illegal actions in Cyprus’ EEZ, and, more broadly, in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
